Role & responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Reporting

• Oversee preparation, analyse, and present financial statements, reports, and key performance indicators, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards.
• Preparation of monthly financial MIS/ Financials and provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support decision-making by management.
• Finalization of accounts & preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Strategic Planning

• Assist in the development and management of departmental budgets.
• Provide financial insights, forecast trends, and recommend cost optimization strategies to align with the company's goals and objectives.
• Support investment decisions, profitability analysis, and resource allocation strategies.

Cost Management

• Monitor and analyse operational costs, revenue generation, and expenses to improve financial efficiency.
• Manage cash flow and liquidity, forecasting cash needs and optimizing working capital.
• Manage cash reserves, investments, and banking relationships to optimize returns and liquidity.

Accounts and Payroll Team Management

• Lead and manage the accounting team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Oversee day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and reconciliations.
• Ensure smooth processing of invoices, claims, and financial transactions related to hospitality and insurance services.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Manage internal financial policies, statutory compliance Audit, Bookkeeping, and other statutory work to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations, including GST, VAT, WHT, pricing regulations, ROC matters etc.
• Assist with tax filings and risk assessments while addressing financial compliance queries.
• Coordinate and liaise with external auditors during financial audits and ensure timely completion of audit processes.

Cross-Department and Financial Institution Collaboration

• Work closely with Production, Sales and Marketing teams to provide financial support and enhance operational efficiency.
• Monitor banking activities and maintain professional relationships with financial institutions.

Financial Systems & Technology

• Utilize financial software to track and analyse transactions and improve financial data management.
• Assist in the implementation of new financial systems or tools for enhanced reporting and efficiency.

Internal Controls & Safeguarding Assets

• Establish and maintain internal financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure best financial practices.

Preferred candidate profile

Educational Background

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Qualified Chartered Accountant or similar certification is a plus.

Experience

• 20+ years of experience in corporate financial management and accounting. Experience of the same within the pharmaceutical sector is a plus.
