AS400 ERP/RPG Engineer - System Integration (6-12 yrs)

Job Title : AS400 ERP/RPG Developer

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced AS400 ERP/RPG Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of AS400 (IBM i) and RPG programming, as well as experience with ERP systems, particularly in the areas of manufacturing, distribution, and finance. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in developing and maintaining AS400 ERP/RPG applications.

Key Responsibilities :

1. AS400 ERP/RPG Development : Design, develop, and maintain AS400 ERP/RPG applications, including RPG, RPGLE, and RPG Free Format.

2. RPG Programming : Develop and maintain RPG programs, including data access, data manipulation, and business logic.

3. ERP System Integration : Integrate AS400 ERP/RPG applications with other systems, including databases, web services, and messaging systems.

4. Database Management : Manage and maintain AS400 databases, including database design, data modeling, and data integrity.

5. System Administration : Perform system administration tasks, including user management, security, and performance tuning.

6. Testing and Quality Assurance : Develop and execute test plans, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

7. Collaboration : Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to ensure seamless delivery of AS400 ERP/RPG applications.

8. Documentation : Create and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, implementation guides, and user manuals.

Requirements :

1. AS400 Experience : At least 5 years of experience with AS400 (IBM i), including RPG, RPGLE, and RPG Free Format.

2. RPG Programming : Strong proficiency in RPG programming, including RPG, RPGLE, and RPG Free Format.

3. ERP System Experience : Experience with ERP systems, particularly in the areas of manufacturing, distribution, and finance.

4. Database Experience : Experience with databases, including DB2, SQL, and Oracle.

5. System Administration : Experience with system administration, including user management, security, and performance tuning.

6. Agile Methodologies : Experience with Agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.

Nice to Have :

1. IBM Certified AS400 Developer : IBM Certified AS400 Developer certification is a plus.

2. IBM Certified RPG Developer : IBM Certified RPG Developer certification is a plus.

3. Cloud Experience : Experience with cloud-based AS400 ERP/RPG applications, including IBM Cloud and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

4. DevOps Experience : Experience with DevOps tools, including Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.

5. Web Development Experience : Experience with web development, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
