SAP ABAP Consultant (7-9 yrs)

Overview :

The SAP ABAP Developer plays a crucial role in designing, developing, and supporting SAP applications using the Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) language. They are responsible for analyzing business requirements, developing technical specifications, and implementing solutions to enhance the SAP system's functionality.

Key Responsibilities :

- Collaborate with business analysts and functional consultants to understand business requirements.

- Design, develop, and maintain SAP applications using ABAP programming language.

- Customize and enhance standard SAP functionalities through ABAP development.

- Create and maintain technical documentation for developed programs and applications.

- Carry out performance tuning, debugging, and troubleshooting of ABAP programs.

- Develop and maintain SAP reports, interfaces, forms, and enhancements using ABAP.

- Work on data migration and data mapping activities within the SAP environment.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of SAP modules.

- Provide support and maintenance for existing SAP applications and develop enhancements as needed.

- Participate in system testing and support end-users during the testing phase.

- Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with coding standards and best practices.

- Stay updated with SAP ABAP advancements and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

- Work on SAP Fiori and Web Dynpro ABAP development activities.

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior ABAP developers.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- Proven experience as an SAP ABAP Developer or in a similar role.

- Deep understanding of SAP modules and business processes.

- Proficiency in ABAP programming, including BAPIs, BADIs, and User Exits.

- Experience in SAP development tools such as SAP NetWeaver, SAP HANA, and Eclipse.

- Knowledge of SAP Data Dictionary and database management.

- Strong understanding of SAP integration technologies and methodologies.

- Ability to conduct performance optimization and tuning of ABAP code.

- Experience with Web Dynpro ABAP, SAP Fiori, and UI5 development.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex SAP issues.

- Knowledge of SAP security and authorization concepts.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong analytical and organizational abilities.

- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

- SAP ABAP certification is a plus.
