Guidewire Policy Center Configuration certification required (version 8 and above).
5+ years of experience in Guidewire Policy Center configuration development using GOSU with PolicyCenter v8, 9 or 10.
5+ years of experience developing web-based Java/J2EE or .Net applications.
Experience with web service consuming, using the Guidewire EDGE Layer and APIs.

JOB ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Working with Technical and Business leads during Guidewire Policy Center implementations and actively participating in the requirements review, assessment and high level and detailed sizing of required configuration and technical effort.
Ensuring technical design and specifications are in line with traceable user-stories / requirements and according to Guidewire and Sompo International development best-practices.
Configuring new policy products and policylines, and extending existing products and data models, UI screens, Custom Form Patterns as required and within the foundational / platform guidelines.
Implementing ISO circulars for the SBT products by creating new versions or maintaining the Guidewireratebooks, rateroutines and ratetables.
Performing impact analysis for changes related to the products present in Production. Analyzing the impact of the change on the issued policies and inflight jobs.
Working with technical leads in designing and end-to-end implementing Guidewire jobs (Submission, Policy Change, Cancellation, Renewal, Rewrite and Reinstatement).
Learning and supporting Conversion Center and utilities and processes involved within the overall policy conversion process. .
Leveraging available Guidewire accelerators to accelerate development activities and make reuse of proven architectural patterns, for integrations or product development activities.
Ensuring that the delivered code is standards-based, G-unit tested and code-reviewed with supporting artifacts and in line with business requirements and technical specifications.
Coordinating and working with on/offshore resources to plan, design and complete the assigned deliverables. Ensuring that work is completed on time per the established schedule by the technical lead(s).
Conducting code / peer reviews and ensuring that unit, integration, end-to-end and smoke tests are conducted following continuous integration and deployment activities. Responsible for gate-checking code prior to higher environment propagations.
In addition to project implementations, responsible for supporting various life-cycle phases during and post-implementation, including production support and maintenance.
Experience with configuring Product Model, Rating Management module, Ratebooks, rateroutines and ratetables is required.
Experience is required with implementation of major flows and rules including Policy Submissions, Policy Change, Cancellation, Renewal, Rewrite and Policy Reinstatement.
Demonstrated expertise and experience with Guidewire APIs, Product Designer, GX Model, Integrations and Product Model development (for integration, testing and data migrations) is preferred.
Strong experience with Gosu query API and SQL is required. . Knowledge of Commercial P&C insurance highly preferred.
Strong and demonstrable leadership and application ownership (post-implementation) with Guidewire Policy Center product implementations is required.
Experience with production support is required.
Experience leading offshore teams is highly preferred.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Comfort with ambiguity and ability to navigate through and lead teams to solutioning.
Strong experience with XML technologies (XSD, Xpath, Xquery, XSL, and XSLT).
Experienced with Agile methodology and tooling (TFS, Rally, JIRA, etc.) in a technical owner capacity.
Experience with source controls tools like GIT, TFS, DevOps or similar.
