EMO Energy, a pioneering EV battery technology company, is looking for a Lead Hardware Engineer to drive the design, testing, and optimization of advanced hardware systems for cutting-edge battery solutions. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and innovative solutions for sustainable transportation.
Roles and Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of schematic and PCB layouts for hardware systems with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalability.
Ensure seamless integration of hardware with software, firmware, and mechanical components.
Conduct detailed hardware testing to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
Identify and debug hardware issues, implementing effective solutions to improve functionality and reliability.
Develop and refine testing protocols, maintaining comprehensive documentation of processes and results.
Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to optimize production processes and address design challenges.
Provide technical leadership to junior engineers, fostering skill development and innovation within the team.
Manage hardware development projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables align with company objectives.
Optimize hardware for power electronics applications, especially in battery management systems (BMS).
Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in EV hardware systems, applying insights to drive innovation.
Qualifications & Skills Required
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
10+ years in hardware engineering, with a proven track record of designing, testing, and troubleshooting hardware.
Expertise in schematic and PCB layout design using tools like Altium, OrCAD, or Eagle.
Proficiency in at least one leading Layout & Testing Management (LTM) software.
In-depth knowledge of testing and debugging techniques for electronic hardware systems.
Familiarity with power electronics and battery management system design and experience leading projects from concept to production in a dynamic, fast-paced environment..
Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Also ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Knowledge of EV battery technology and associated industry standards, experience with EMI/EMC testing and compliance and familiarity with simulation tools for hardware design
