As a Supplier Quality Assurance Intern, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality of components and materials supplied for our innovative EV projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and our in-house engineering team to uphold quality standards, drive improvements, and optimize supplier performance for BMS and battery systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in developing and implementing quality assurance processes for supplier components, with an emphasis on BMS and battery systems.
Conduct supplier audits and assessments to evaluate adherence to quality standards and performance metrics.
Travel both intracity and intercity to supplier and client sites as required.
Collaborate with the engineering and procurement teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Review and verify supplier documentation and control plans.
Support in the development of supplier performance dashboards and reports for internal review.
Participate in quality testing and inspection of materials and components during incoming inspections.
Assist in establishing and maintaining supplier quality agreements and standards.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
Basic understanding of quality assurance processes and tools.
Familiarity with quality standards and ISO standards applicable to manufacturing and EV systems.
Knowledge of mechanical and electrical components, particularly sheet metal, wiring harnesses, and fasteners.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in using quality management systems and tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
Willingness to travel and work at supplier and client sites.
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving quality issues.
Note:
This internship is for 6 months , with the potential for extension to a full-time role based on individual performance. Candidates with hands-on experience or exposure to EV technology, particularly BMS and battery systems, will be an added advantage.
