Mechanical Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Conversion with code and standard, project specification such as ASME /ANSI D1.1, B31.1
• ASME SEC I, II, V, VIII, IX.
• Coordinate with client regarding Shop Pre-Fabrication & Modification activities.
• Monitoring and Controlling the Inspection activities at Pre-Fabrication shop as well as site.
• Preparing weld map from ISO drawings.
• Preparation of daily & weekly progress report and submit to the Construction Manager.
• Checking of erected lines as per site report.
• To supervise and carry out effective implementation of weekly/monthly production
• schedule to meet the targets.
• Checking whether the fabricated line matches the requirements and comparing it with P
• & IDs.
• Review the Isometric Drawings as per plan and P&ID inspection of fabrication and
• erection of piping and modify the Isometrics as per site.(as built drawings)
• Responsible for technical & engineering support to field supervisors required at site.
• Checking whether the fabricated line matches the requirements and comparing it with P& ID’s.
• Checking the pipe support according to predefined standards and referring stress isometric drawings for support requirements like direction of movements of the line during operational conditions.
• Prepare inspection request prior to accept the construction piping / welding work, pressure testing and releasing of fabricated pipelines in order to prepare certification for the completed items.
• • Check and monitor that those standard workmanship procedure were implemented as per
• specification and standard code particularly welding process, welding consumable items,
• welding equipment and other requirements pertaining welding works.
• • Witnessing Hydro test activity and Preparation of hydro test packages and punch listing.
• • Documentation and coordinate to contractor inspectors for preliminary and final
• Inspection, final box-up.
• • Piping / welding work, pressure testing and releasing of fabricate pipeline in order to
• prepare certification for the completed items.
• • Co-ordinate with construction, testing group, and QC group in the preparation test
• requirement of each test pack.
• • Preparing the Material requirement planning & Resource planning.
• • Piping Fabrication & Erection as per approved Drawings
• • Inspection of Piping erection & Fit up
• • Ensuring subcontractors to strictly follow up the company’s EHS policy.
• • Materials Take-off as per site requirement.
• • Co-ordinate with Engineering clarification for Sub contractors
• • Erection planning Weekly & Monthly
• • Test Peck Clearance & Hydro test as per approved Procedure.
• • Line Checking & Punch point clearance.
• • Timely Coordination with Welding, QA/QC, NDT, PMC and Client for smooth

• • Execution of piping, PAB piping, SS, CS GRP, GI (reading isometric
• drawings, P & ID)
• • Checked pipe support as per isometric drawings.
• • Perform inspection of incoming material as per project requirement.
• • Erection execution of Turbo Set equipment’s & pumps and tanks.
• • Erection and execution of structures.
• • Carry out of inspection of structural fabrication work according codes and
• standards.
• Performing welding inspection activity.
