Summary:
The position is responsible for representing Supply Chain Planning as the key contact for the business, finance, and supply chain teams. It plays a critical role in supporting the achievement of the country's financial plan by ensuring accurate demand forecasting, supply assurance, and optimal inventory levels. This position reports directly to the Regional Head of Supply Chain Planning, with a dotted line to the Head of Country Supply Chain
Qualification & Experience
- Possession of a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized college or university with major coursework in Business, Operations Management, or Supply Chain Management.
- Min. 10 years' experience of progressively responsible experience in demand planning and or supply chain planning.
- Able to evaluate and make decisions by analyzing trade-offs between various options, balancing factors such as cost, feasibility, and risk to determine the most viable solution
- Experience in implementing supply chain improvements focused on cost-saving initiatives and process efficiency enhancements
- The candidate must be familiar with the customs and regulatory clearance process in India.
- The candidate must demonstrate a professional and confident manner, excellent communication skills, strategic thinking, strong analytical skills, quality/customer focus and tenacious problem-solving skills.
- Highly developed organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
Key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Lead and facilitate the Integrated Business Planning process for India and any future identified markets.
- Drive demand planning reviews with the Country Business, ensuring the demand forecast not only aligns with the financial plan but also provides a highly accurate signal to manufacturing plants, as forecast accuracy is critical for efficient production planning and resource allocation
- Ensure optimal inventory levels by collaborating with the business to manage surplus, reduce excess stock through redeployment, and minimize backorders, while maintaining cost efficiency
- Align with the business on safety stock levels and planning strategies, ensuring timely updates and maintenance of this information
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, safety stock compliance, and service levels, using the data to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement
- Establish and monitor Supply Chain Metrics to support the business, identify gaps, and improve service levels for customers.
- Lead the country supply planning team and collaborate closely with the regional team
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
