Position Overview : We are looking for a proactive and organised professional to oversee our inventory management processes, implement effective wastage reduction strategies, and ensure the highest standards of quality for our fresh produce. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of inventory control, wastage management, and quality inspection procedures within the agricultural or food industry.
Key Responsibilities :
Inventory Management : Implement and maintain effective inventory management systems to optimize stock levels and minimize holding costs. Monitor inventory levels, reorder points, and lead times to ensure adequate stock availability.
Wastage Management : Develop and implement strategies to minimize wastage during the handling, storage, and transportation of vegetables and fruits. Analyse and report on wastage trends, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Quality Inspection : Conduct regular quality inspections of incoming vegetables and fruits to ensure compliance with established standards. Collaborate with suppliers to address quality issues and establish quality improvement initiatives.
Documentation and Reporting : Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, wastage data, and quality inspection results. Generate regular reports for management review, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Process Improvement : Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency in inventory management and quality control processes. Implement best practices to ensure the highest quality standards and reduce operational costs.
Qualifications :
Bachelor s degree in Agriculture, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Proven experience in inventory management, wastage reduction, and quality control within the agricultural or food industry. Knowledge of best practices in handling and storing fresh produce to maintain quality. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
