Process Associate

A Lease Abstraction role typically involves reviewing, analyzing, and summarizing commercial real estate lease documents to extract key information. The primary goal is to make the lease terms and details easier to understand and manage for property owners, managers, or investors.

Responsibilities:

• Review and Analyze Lease Documents: Read and interpret various types of lease agreements, including commercial, retail, industrial, and office leases.
• Abstract Key Terms: Extract important information from lease contracts such as rent, lease duration, renewal options, tenant responsibilities, escalation clauses, security deposits, and maintenance obligations.
• Create Lease Summaries: Compile abstracted data into concise summaries or lease abstracts that highlight critical terms and conditions for quick reference.
• Data Entry & Record Keeping: Input the extracted lease data into lease management or tracking software, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate with Legal Teams: Work closely with legal teams or property managers to clarify any complex lease provisions or terms.
• Maintain Databases: Ensure that lease information is kept up-to-date and stored in an easily accessible format for future reference.
• Assist with Reporting: Help generate reports for lease portfolio analysis, tenant compliance, and financial forecasting.
