- Researching suppliers and vendors to ensure supplies are ordered in time
- Maintaining stock levels
- Performing quality assurance
- Creating, maintaining, and updating records of orders, payments, and stocks
- Negotiating pricing and contract terms
- Expediting quotations from vendors
- Identifying and developing new vendors
- Matching purchase planning and control with production planning
