Data Analyst

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to interpret complex data sets to drive business decisions. Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, analyse, and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Develop and maintain data dashboards and reports to support business operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
• Perform data validation and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Utilize statistical techniques and software tools to analyze data and generate reports.
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
• Participate in virtual meetings and maintain regular communication with team members.

KPIs/Expectations to Achieve Common Goal:

Accuracy of Reports:

• Ensure all reports meet the benchmark of accuracy and are free from material misstatements.
• Reports should pass external audit thresholds to ensure decision-making is not compromised.

Internal Reporting:

• Daily:
• Labour:

Cross-check and update check-in and check-out hours for each technician.

• Use Service M8 and Vehicle Tracking Software.
• Update payroll timesheets daily using Xero Software.
• Cross-check and report materials used versus jobs completed.
• Access supplier portals and communicate with suppliers as needed.

Weekly:

• Provide weekly reporting on tech scheduling and productivity.

Monthly:

• Report on tech profitability, category profitability, job profitability, and warranty work.

Development of Spreadsheets:

• Create and maintain spreadsheets to record data and display results based on various filtering categories.
• Ensure connection and integration with Microsoft Power BI for advanced data visualization.

Communication:

• Regularly communicate with the operational team to provide feedback on technician performance.
• Offer insights for ongoing training and system adjustments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, or Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
• Experience with service/trade-based software.
• High-level English proficiency, both verbal and written.
• Ability to extract and combine data from multiple data sources.
• Payroll interpretation skills.
• Job card analysis (labour/materials/contractors).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Knowledge of machine learning techniques and algorithms.
• Familiarity with big data technologies and cloud platforms.
