Deutsche Bank is seeking an experienced Technology Director to lead the provision of IT services to the DBAG franchises in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. The role sits within the Global Technology Infrastructure reporting into the Asia Pacific Head of Branch Technology and will be based out of Mumbai. The individual will be expected to oversee the continued modernization of the Bank s IT infrastructure and local application platforms whilst maintaining a strong control over risk and regulatory portfolio and financial performance of the department.

Responsibilities
Be accountable for the provision of technology services, within budget, at industry-leading standards to the DBAG India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh franchises.
Work closely with local, regional, and global C-level executives to support technology strategy and aggressive business growth.
Inspire, supervise, and oversee the development and recruitment of technology staff in Mumbai.
Partner with regional and functional technology leaders and stakeholders to develop and implement new technologies and infrastructure in India.
Partner with business stakeholders to understand their needs and develop best strategies to support India franchise growth from technology perspective.
Analyze the current technology infrastructure and ensure that DBAG India operations comply with internal risk and control standards plus Indian and global banking regulations and laws.
Ensure the stability and security of the business IT assets and services.
Represent IT service delivery at local and regional Stakeholders and Operating /Executive Committees
Ensure the optimal allocation and utilization of technology resource.
Establish clear operating model for the department with explicit roles and responsibilities between team members.
Establish the IT department s operative goals and objectives.
Coordination and oversight of our strategic 3rd party vendors and outsourcing activities
Actively engage with the other Asia country technology leaders, and where required, take on regional responsibility for the delivery of pan-Asia initiatives or services
Requirements
Minimum Qualification Engineering Graduate or MCA or equivalent qualification from a recognized University / Institution.
Experience 15 years of experience in relevant areas is mandatory. He/she should have worked in Banking-IT related areas/projects involving IT Policy and Planning/ Financial Networks and Applications/ Financial Information Systems/ Cyber Security Technologies/ Payment Technologies, etc., of which five years should be at senior management level.
Languages English Speak / Write Fluently
Must have
A solid understanding of technology in an enterprise context, spanning; infrastructure, end user and application services, cloud hosting and AI
Deep knowledge of financial services business principles and banking operations
Extensive experience working in technology in senior leadership role and/or business roles within a company.
Excellent communication and influencing skills with senior stakeholders from both business and regional / global technology functions.
