Job Description
- Work with the Data Analytics team in Berlin on automation of regular data delivery for current data analysis project primarily by using SQL, Python.
- Develop applications for self-service analytics solutions using Python and SQL.
- Adopt to hybrid and native cloud technologies with OpenShift and Google Cloud Platform.
- Enhance software engineering principles within the team adopting market s best practices alongside with DB s principles and procedures.
- Enhance existing data-driven solutions regarding data ingest, transformation, reporting and machine learning capabilities.
- Identify automation opportunities and develop solutions that simplify data delivery processes and make them more efficient with ETL data pipelines.
- Apply highest quality standards as your solution will become an integral part of audit execution processes.
- Manage, coordinate and lead projects and deliveries without supervision.
Your skills and experience
- Master s degree (or equivalent) from an accredited college or university (or equivalent) in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science etc.) or equivalent work experience ideally in the banking industry.
- Experience as data engineer or data scientist ideally using Python, SQL and Containerization.
- Knowledge of data analytics techniques to solve real world problems (i.e. Python pandas, scikit-learn, Jupyter Notebooks).
- Knowledge of deep and machine learning models (i.e. Prediction, Classification, Natural Language Processing or Large Language Models) and concepts is beneficial
- Reporting and Visualization (i.e. Tableau or similar) is preferred
- Interest or existing expertise in payment transactions (i.e. SWIFT ISO Standard 20022) is considered a plus
- Knowledge of agile methodology (Scrum), relevant tools (Confluence, Jira) and good understanding software engineering principles
- Innovative, creative, articulate and able to work directly with a broad range of stakeholders
- With problem solving skills and a data mind-set able to understand complex processes and data structures
