The Business Functional Analyst has to support wide range of solutions for projects for meeting the business expectations from application. The typical roles include working as part of broader project teams with personal ownership for key deliverables.

Your key responsibilities
Play critical role of SME/L3 support in gathering, clarifying, documenting requirements and perform test/ production validations, provide sign-off
Understanding, Challenging, capturing, and articulating requirements according to the quality standards
Participate and help development and testing teams in strategic projects and DR exercises
Managing the requirement priorities transparently which are agreed in stakeholders
Supports preparation, pre-requisites, feasibility studies towards creation of business cases outlining value drivers of proposed solutions for business clients in crucial projects
Identify system defects and proactively recommend solutions/resolutions
Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts, Project Managers to establish the technical vision and analyze trade-offs between usability and performance needs
Identify areas for improvement and delivery capabilities
Have demonstrated proficiency in working with global and local teams, managing vendors and/or 3rd parties

Your skills and experience
As BFA you will bring
At least 9+ years of experience in role for Business Functional Analyst
Strong analysis skills and should be able to demonstrate expertise in impact analysis, business processes, writing/simplifying requirements and use cases
Previous experience in Banking/ Financial Domain, accounts, transaction processing for private/corporate customers will be a plus
Strong experience in driving business discussions, business workshops, processes, meetings and translate into requirement documents
Should understand definition of technical requirements for transaction representation
Experience to deliver artefacts as needed Business Requirements Document, Functional Specification Document, PRD, Use Cases, estimates
conceptualize complex process flows and business flows
Hands-on experience in End to End business processes, requirements engineering for financial institutions, process management tools and techniques
Experience in stakeholder management like business units/users, infrastructure teams, audit, management, DEV/Testing teams
Should have good understanding of LPT, smoke, E-2-E tests and performance issues
Experience working in entire project lifecycle from pre kick-off until post production
Should be fluent in clarifying, breaking down requirements with development testing teams, program management
Should be comfortable with agile/waterfall model, create user stories where applicable
Experience in delivering projects in a challenging environment with tight timelines
Awareness/experience how cloud technology works in the background
Hands-on experience on tools like HP ALM, Jira, ServiceNow, Confluence
Awareness of Quality Management tools, techniques, and matrices
Proven experience in handling multiple simultaneous projects and meeting timelines
Pragmatic yet showing a high attention to details
Skills that bring added advantage
Understanding of financial products and high level risk management principles
Beneficial to have experience working on projects requiring large data validation
Knowledge of how IT application architecture and development works - desirable but not must
