Dvara E-Registry (DER) is an innovative Agri FinTech company based in Hyderabad, dedicated to transforming the agricultural value chain. Our key partners include lending institutions, agri-input suppliers, commodity buyers, farmer producer organizations (FPOs), and individual farmers. We offer a comprehensive suite of services designed to enhance the development and sustainability of the agricultural value chain and FPOs at every stage.
DER is actively collaborating with over 200 FPOs across 12 states, offering digital platforms to facilitate market and financial linkages. Recently, we expanded our reach to support Fish FPOs in Uttarakhand as well.
In Odisha, DER is implementing a project with the department of Horticulture of Odisha. This project focuses on promoting climate-smart horticultural practices, establishing market linkages and developing digital public infrastructure (DPIs).
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Candidate specialized in market linkages for perishables, particularly fruits and vegetables. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in the export sector, supply chain management specially experienced in cold storages, logistics, and stakeholder engagement, including FPOs, government departments, and industry bodies. This role will focus on creating sustainable market linkages, optimizing supply chain efficiencies, and ensuring smooth export operations for fruits and vegetables from the region.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND DELIVERABLES 1. Market Linkage Development:
Identify and establish both domestic and international market linkages for fruits and vegetables, with a strong emphasis on perishable commodities.
Build and maintain strategic relationships with buyers, exporters, wholesalers, and retailers to facilitate the effective sale of produce.
Collaborate with government departments, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), and private sector entities to develop comprehensive market access strategies.
2. Supply Chain and Logistics Management:
Oversee the end-to-end supply chain for fruits and vegetables, ensuring the timely and efficient movement of perishable goods from farm to market or export destinations.
Coordinate with logistics providers to ensure optimal transportation, cold storage, and packaging solutions are in place to preserve product quality.
Monitor and optimize the supply chain process to minimize wastage, ensuring compliance with both domestic and international quality standards and export regulations.
Provide guidance on efficient utilization of state government s cold storage infrastructure.
Utilize expertise in the export of fruits and vegetables to ensure compliance with international market standards, certifications, and necessary documentation.
Identify and research potential export markets, crafting strategies to expand the company s presence globally.
Ensure strict adherence to export laws, guidelines, and procedures, facilitating smooth and compliant shipments.
4. Liaison with FPOs & Government Bodies:
Serve as the primary point of contact between FPOs, government departments, and other stakeholders, ensuring seamless collaboration.
Work closely with FPOs to maintain product quality, quantity, and consistency, aligning with market demands.
Engage with government bodies on agricultural schemes, export promotion policies, and other forms of support.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including farmers, government officials, FPOs, and private sector partners.
Facilitate capacity-building programs for FPOs and farmers, promoting best practices in growing, harvesting, and processing produce for market readiness.
6. Data Management & Reporting:
Track and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supply chain efficiency, market linkage development, and export performance.
Provide regular reports and updates on market trends, performance metrics, and business development opportunities to inform strategic decision-making.
CANDIDATE PROFILE Educational Qualifications:
Graduation in Agriculture, Horticulture or allied
Post Grad/Management degree/ABM/RM
Over 10 years+ of relevant work experience.
Previous experience working in Odisha is an advantage.
Competencies/Skills Required:
Proven track record in developing and implementing horticultural programs, market linkage strategies, and value chain interventions.
Experience working with government bodies, FPOs, and donor agencies, advantage to be given if worked in the team of TSU/PMU to departments.
Strong knowledge of horticultural best practices, climate-smart agriculture, supply chain management, and market trends.
Willingness to work in a start-up environment.
Must be competent to learn and adapt to changing technical environment.
Ability to analyse market trends, identify business opportunities and negotiate contracts.
Self-starter and self-motivated.
Excellent communication and relationship development skills.
Should open to frequent travel within the state.
Excellent in MS Office products especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to multi-task.
Ability to document, prepare report and cases.
