Electrician

Key Responsibility:

Manages all engineering & maintenance requirements of a high end upscale multi use tourism complex with particular attention towards safety, security and asset protection. Accountable for managing the budget, preventative & emergency interior / exterior maintenance and repairs to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of estate operations including commissioning of new equipment, installation and supervising upgrades and refurbishment. Responsible for maintaining regulatory requirements. Managing Property Electrical Maintenance to create a positive environment for the tourists.

Key role requirements:

• Supports Engineering operations & assists in managing the equipment, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, electrical, BMS, boat jetty, life safety systems, etc
• Maintains and operates equipment at optimum effectiveness, efficiency and safety
• Establishes and manages an effective rooms maintenance program
• Ensures compliance with all Engineering departmental policies, standards and procedures
• Manages department's controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals
• Select and order or purchase new equipment, supplies, and furnishings
• Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of facilities in order to determine the type of work required
• Recommend or arrange for additional services such as painting, repair work, renovations, and the replacement of furnishings and equipment.
• Maintaining Property Standards by maintaining accurate ticket logs & records
• Assists in effectively planning, scheduling and evaluating preventative maintenance programs

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical / Civil engineering
• Minimum 2 - 3 years of proven work experience in the hospitality sector or reputed facilities management company / establishment.
• Procurement and negotiation skills
• A practical, flexible and proactive approach to work
• Tech savvy (Knowledge in Google sheets, docs, PPTs)
• To explain complex electrical issues clearly.
• Physical ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces and heights.
• Valid electrician license (where required by law).
• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an apprenticeship program preferred.
• Working Conditions:May require working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Occasional evening, weekend, or on-call work may be necessary.
• Physical labor, including lifting heavy equipment and working in challenging positions.
