Senior Technician- Radiology

Imaging Procedures:

• Perform a comprehensive range of imaging procedures, including:
• MRI Spectroscopy
• MRI Venography
• CT and MRI Angiography
• Cardiac CT and Cardiac MRI
• MRI Joint Imaging
• Diagnostic imaging like X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds
• Collaborate with radiologists by preparing accurate and high-quality images for interpretation.
• Review patient history and explain procedures to ensure comfort and understanding.

Equipment Maintenance and Safety:

• Operate, monitor, and maintain radiology equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Conduct regular equipment checks and identify any malfunctions or technical issues for timely resolution.
• Adhere to radiation safety standards and protocols to protect patients and staff.

Inventory Management:

• Monitor and maintain adequate stocks for CT and MRI procedures, including contrast agents, protective gear, and other consumables.
• Perform regular inventory audits and manage restocking to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of radiology materials in compliance with safety standards.

Staff Coordination and Training:

• Prepare and oversee duty rosters for radiology technicians, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts, including weekends and emergencies.
• Train and mentor junior technicians on imaging techniques, advanced procedures, and safety protocols.
• Promote a collaborative work environment that fosters continuous learning and skill development.

Scheduling and Workflow Management:

• Manage and adjust scheduling based on patient volume and departmental needs, ensuring efficient operation.
• Coordinate with other departments to minimize patient wait times and streamline workflows.

Compliance and Documentation:

• Maintain detailed records of imaging procedures, patient data, and equipment maintenance logs.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, radiation safety protocols, and legal standards.
• Stay updated with advancements in radiology and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.

Skills and Competencies:

• Proficiency in specialized imaging techniques, including MRI Spectroscopy, MRI Venography, CT/MRI Angiography, Cardiac CT/MRI, and MRI Joint Imaging.
• Strong understanding of human anatomy, medical terminology, and radiology best practices.
• Exceptional technical and troubleshooting skills for operating advanced imaging equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with patients and colleagues.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle scheduling, inventory, and workflows.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma or Bachelors degree in Radiology or Medical Imaging Technology
• Certification in advanced imaging modalities like CT or MRI (preferred)
