Lab Technician

JOB SPECIFICATION:

• A Diploma, UG or PG in the relevant discipline.
• Minimum of 6+ years experience in laboratory field.
• Deep knowledge on NABL Accreditation process. Management system standard
• Proficient in Microsoft Applications.
• Should be good in Communication, Email and Telephone etiquette.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Processing and assisting grossing of biopsy samples (tissues)
• Tissue Wax Blocks preparation
• Section cutting of wax embedded tissues by microtome.
• Should have Proficiency in performing IHC.
• Processing of tissue as per SOP. Embedding/cutting /staining of sections/Mounting/labelling & arranging the slides in serial order.
• Processing LBC samples & cytology/FNAC with slide preparation.
• Perform frozen section.
• Typing and dispatch of reports.
• Placing purchase order & stock maintenance of chemicals and consumables.
• Maintenance and calibration of equipment at regular intervals.
• Maintain QC, EQAS records.
• Prepare and monitor documentation required for NABL Accreditation program.
• Coordinate training programs for laboratory staff on new techniques, equipment, and procedures.
• Monitor adherence to laboratory policies and procedures.
• Any other work assigned by the Management.
• Reporting to the Head of the Management.
