Design Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Consult with HOD to determine design requirements, plan and evaluate projects, and prepare the drawings.
• Use Design software to create virtual models and drawings, and design the aesthetics, materials, and functionality of components.
• Create physical prototypes of designs and test them under different conditions.
• Analyse data from tests, monitor how materials perform, and conduct root cause failure analysis.
• Modify existing products to improve their efficiency and usability.
• Communicate & Coordinate effectively with cross functional teams such as Production,Quality,Customer Support departments for continual improvement.
• Supervise the work of below team members and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Maintain documents and records as per the Department procedures.
• Work as per the instructions of the Department HOD- Design

Preferred candidate profile

*Work Experience of min. 16 years in any Product design (Mechanical Industry) with Hands on experience in Auto cad, Pro-e/Creo, Solid works, etc.

* Good Oral & Written Communication

* Good Team Management Skills
