About the role
DNV Digital Solutions is looking for software developers to build the foundation of our future team in Pune, India Development Centre. In the role of GIS Expert and Full Stack Developer, you will lead and grow our Synergi Pipeline Integrity product, a web-based application serving natural gas and pipeline clients world-wide. Synergi Pipeline Integrity is an engineering product designed for local distribution and transmission utilities to assess and monitor their systems and has a strong GIS component, using Esri ArcGIS extensions. With this position, we need an experienced GIS technology leader to apply their passion for code quality, software engineering excellence, and web-based product development to enhance the DNV products and ensure we remain competitive in this growing industry. We are building team at our Pune Development Center requiring full-stack web-based commercial product development experience. This role shall work alongside other Digital Solutions and DNV professionals, working closely with team members in Norway, UK and USA offices.
Role Requirements
Act as the technical lead and serve as primary local contact and technical go-to expert regarding all aspects of the product, especially GIS functionality.
Understand needs and manage tasks for ArcGIS related development, including the SOEs, ArcGIS environments, Esri licensing, data validation & requirements, and integration between GIS systems and DNV products.
Analyze functional requirements, user specifications and use cases for design, coding and testing.
Development tasks as per the need of a project, including debugging, resolving issues, implementing enhancements, and creating unit and integration tests.
Adhere to software business processes and standards for development, testing, documentation, support, and deployment including adherence to stringent security standards by following secure lifecycle programming techniques.
Conduct thorough reviews of all code changes for quality, adherence to standards, and design principles.

About you
Bachelor s degree or higher in technical field (engineering, software development, etc.).
10+ years of proven experience developing complex software products or systems using C# and ArcGIS software.
Strong hands-on experience with C# .NET development and Esri technologies.
Experience wrapping, integrating or extending ESRI GIS capabilities using a .NET development language (C# or VB.NET) in conjunction with one or more of the following ESRI component libraries: ESRI ArcObjects (legacy), ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise SDK or ESRI ArcGIS Maps SDK for .NET.
Understanding of various GIS-related data management methodologies such as geometric networks and linear referencing techniques.
Well versed in Enterprise GIS deployments utilizing ArcGIS Enterprise (ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Portal, SDE-managed databases, services-oriented integration methodologies).
Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud computing platform.
Deep understanding of software development principles and methodologies, experience with software design patterns & knowledge of database design and management systems.
Experience in developing and maturing test strategy.
Experience leading small development teams by providing direction and offering technical guidance.
Experience using with Git for source code management.
Familiarity with Azure DevOps.
Strong knowledge of secure coding standards and best practices.
Desired Experience:
Knowledge of utility-related GIS workflows and best practices. For example, editing GIS databases to incorporate new as-built facilities, merging and posting of the as-built updates, etc.
Experience and understanding of utility (natural gas, potable water, electricity) domain-based ArcGIS deployments focused on geospatial asset management of the utility s network assets.
