Division Head- Utility, Otsuka Pharma- Ahmedabad

The Division Head of the Utility Department will be responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and optimization of critical utility systems.

Role & responsibilities

• Technical Oversight of Utility Systems

Should have technical integrity and proper functioning of critical utility systems, such as HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), steam generation and distribution, water systems (WWRO, purified water, RO water end to end water management within overall Premises ), compressed air, nitrogen availability and supply, power systems, and any other equipment added with time ahead.

Also need to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of utilities systems with minimal downtime, while adhering to safety and quality standards.

• Maintenance & Reliability Engineering:

Need to oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of critical utilities systems including water purification, steam boilers, HVAC systems, compressed air systems, refrigeration, and power supply systems.

• Safety and Risk Management:

Need to ensure that all utility systems operate safely and in accordance with safety regulations and best practices.

Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to prevent accidents and ensure system safety.

Preferred candidate profile

• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of utility systems and energy management practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in project management, budget management, and cost optimization.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory and safety standards related to utility systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with internal teams, external vendors, and regulatory bodies.
• Candidate from Pharma Industry would be preferred.
