Job Description
- A Test Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure the quality and reliability of software products.
The following are the key responsibilities of a Test Automation Engineer:
- Design and implement automated test cases and scripts for software applications, taking into consideration software requirements and functional specifications.
- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks, libraries, and tools to support testing efforts.
- Execute automated tests and report results, including identification of defects and regression analysis.
- Document and maintain automated tests and associated test data.
- Troubleshoot and debug automation test failures.
- They should have strong programming skills, experience with one or more test automation frameworks, and knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum.
- Additionally, they should have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as a passion for software quality and reliability.
