• As a Firewall L2 Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management, troubleshooting, and support of firewall infrastructure
• This role involves monitoring security threats, implementing firewall policies, and collaborating with other IT teams to ensure the secure and efficient operation of the organization's network

Responsibilities:

• Firewall Configuration and Management:Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot firewall devices to ensure optimal performance
• Implement and update firewall policies, rules, and access controls
• Security Monitoring:Monitor network traffic for security threats and vulnerabilities using firewall management tools
• Analyze logs and alerts to identify and respond to security incidents
• Incident Response:Investigate and respond to security incidents related to firewall breaches or vulnerabilities
• Work closely with the incident response team to contain and mitigate security events
• Policy Compliance:Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and industry best practices
• Perform regular audits to validate the effectiveness of firewall configurations
• Network Support:Provide Level 2 support for network-related issues, including connectivity and performance problems
• Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex network and security issues
• Documentation:Maintain accurate documentation of firewall configurations, changes, and incident responses
• Create and update knowledge base articles for troubleshooting and support
• Collaboration:Work closely with Level 1 and Level 3 support teams to address and resolve firewall-related issues
• Collaborate with network architects to implement and optimize firewall solutions
