Operations Manager - General Insurance Backend

We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Placement Executive to join our team at an Disha Capital Insurance brokers . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance placement, with experience in understanding risks, preparing RFQs, coordinating with insurance companies, and negotiating quotations. The role involves working closely with clients to ensure they receive the best coverage options and support throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:

1. RFQ Preparation & Floating:
   
   
• Prepare and float Request for Quotations (RFQs) to insurance companies for various insurance products, including Employee Benefits (Group Health Insurance, Group Personal Accident, Group Term Life) and commercial lines such as Fire Insurance and Marine Insurance.
  
• Risk Assessment:
  
  
• Understand and analyse the risk in detail to ensure that appropriate coverage is sought from insurers.
  
• Insurance Company Coordination:
  
  
• Liaise with insurance companies on risk management strategies, policy details, and coverage options.
  
• Maintain a healthy relationship with insurance companies to ensure favourable terms and prompt service.
  
• Client Coordination:
  
  
• Coordinate with clients to discuss quote negotiations, policy coverages, and ensure they are informed about their options.
  
• Assist clients in understanding claims analysis and support them through the claims process.
  
• Quotation Negotiation:
  
  
• Visit Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) companies to negotiate quotations and ensure competitive pricing for clients.
  
• QCR Preparation:
  
  
• Prepare Quote Comparison Reports (QCR) on priority, providing clients with detailed comparisons of the options available to them.
  
• Relationship Management:
  
  
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with both clients and insurance companies to facilitate ongoing business and smooth transactions.
  

Skills & Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelors degree in any relevant field.
  
• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in insurance placement or a similar role within the insurance broking industry.
  
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of insurance products, risk assessment, and claims analysis.
  
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, insurers, and internal teams.
  
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze risks, compare quotations, and provide clients with detailed insights.
  
• Negotiation Skills: Proven experience in negotiating with insurers and securing favorable terms for clients.
  
• Relationship Management: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and insurance companies.

Preference will be given to candidates from Insurance background.
