Graphic Designer

Job description

• • Study design briefs and determine requirements
• • Layout/Design for Magazines (covers).
• • Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
• • Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
• • Develop illustrations, logos, and other designs using software or by hand
• • Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic
• • Work with copywriters to produce the final design
• • Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
• • Review designs for errors before printing or publishing them

Required Candidate profile

• Proven graphic designing experience
• A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
• Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop)
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and collaborate effectively with editors, and writers.
• Ability to think creatively and come up with innovative design concepts.
• Strong attention to aesthetics & detail to ensure accuracy and precision in designs, typography, and layout.
• Ability to create effective layout designs for various print materials including magazines.
• Expertise in designing captivating and marketable magazine covers that attract readers
• A degree in Design, Fine Arts or a related field is a plus
