Dimiour - Platform Architect - Docker/Kubernetes (15-17 yrs)

Job Description :

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Platform Architect to drive the design and development of our next-generation product platform. As a Platform Architect, you will be responsible for defining the technical roadmap, ensuring scalability, security, and driving innovation across our product development lifecycle. This is a remote role, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to a cutting-edge technology environment.

Responsibilities :

Platform Architecture & Design :

- Define and implement the overall platform architecture, ensuring alignment with business goals and scalability requirements.

- Design and implement robust microservices architecture and design patterns.

- Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and tools for the platform.

- Ensure the platform's security, reliability, and performance.

Technology Leadership :

- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams.

- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends, and recommend their adoption where appropriate.

- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in platform development practices.

Cloud & Containerization :

- Design and implement cloud-based solutions on platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

- Lead the implementation of containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Knative, and Keda.

- Manage and optimize API gateway technologies such as Kong, Apigee, Apisix, or Mulesoft.

DevOps & Automation :

- Promote and implement DevOps practices and tools, including ADO, Jenkins, Git, and Ansible.

- Automate platform deployment and management processes.

- Implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

Security & Compliance :

- Ensure the platform adheres to security best practices and compliance requirements.

- Design and implement security solutions to protect sensitive data and prevent vulnerabilities.

- Work with security teams to ensure platform security.

Collaboration & Communication :

- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define product requirements and technical specifications.

- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.

- Mentor and guide junior developers.

Enterprise Application Integration :

- Provide expertise in Enterprise Application Integration domain.

Qualifications :

Education :

- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field.

Experience :

- 15+ years of experience in product development, with at least 5 years in a Platform Architect role.

- 15+ years of hands-on experience in at least two programming languages such as Node.js, Python, or Java.

- 5+ years of experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Knative, and Keda.

- 5+ years of experience with API gateway technologies such as Kong, Apigee, Apisix, or Mulesoft.

- 5+ years of experience with cloud-based technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

- Exposure to Enterprise Application Integration domain.

- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns.

- Experience with DevOps practices and tools such as ADO, Jenkins, Git, and Ansible.

- Strong understanding of security best practices and experience implementing security solutions.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Bonus Points :

- TOGAF certified.

- Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).

- Hands-on experience with front-end technologies such as React.js, Angular.

- Basic knowledge of the SAP ecosystem.
