Zonal Head- Corporate & Institutional Banking
Grade: SVP

Position Purpose: The Zonal Head - C&IB manages South Zone. Business Development & Onboarding of NTB clients.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise (including remotely) the team of senior corporate bankers and the analysts below them
- Develop industry-specific knowledge for clients in the portfolio
- Lead by example focus on Early Warning systems, Internal and RBI Audits, and other controls
- Maintaining the quality of loan proposal documents
- Create awareness on Operational Risk within the Stakeholders
- Develop a sophisticated understanding of various pertinent regulations
- Monitor portfolio of borrowers and closely track concern accounts
- Practice and preach the values of the bank and integrity and zero tolerance for compliance or regulatory slippages
- Achieve Bank's objective in terms of earnings, assets, liabilities, credit quality, etc. as per agreed budgets/targets from client relationships across all product groups
- Acquire new client relationships and grow & maintain high-quality, profitable, and broad-based relationships with the existing client base. Handle activities ranging from identifying clients' financial needs, advising, structuring the deal, preparing the terms and conditions, and closing the deal
- Appraisal of the proposals involving detailed analysis of Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Financial Ratios, Cash Flows, Management Risk, Industry Risk, Economic conditions, E&S risk.
- To maintain high-quality standards of documentation, client communication, process compliance, on-going basis with product partners /Online Security and Fraud division /Risk Management and other Relationship Management groups
- Assess banking needs and risks for clients and manage client relationships accordingly to optimize risk-reward for the Bank
Educational Qualifications & Experience Requirement:
- Graduate and Postgraduate /Formal banking training
- Experience of 15 to 20 years, preferably in Banking & Financial Services, interacting with major corporate clients, promoters, CXOs, HNI's, and large institutions
Skills:
- Sound knowledge of finance, basic working knowledge of markets
- Good relationship stakeholder management skills
- Good Communication & Presentation skills
- Interpersonal, Influencing, and people management skills.
- Should have a good knowledge of corporate balance sheets, Banking products, technology
- Network of stakeholders inside and outside the bank.
- Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders, gain their confidence and persuade them to cooperate with initiatives where required.
- Strong communication skills and capacity to manage expectations.
- Leadership skills, capacity to lead by example
- Ability to drive process improvement to continually improve service and reduce cost
