The Producer is responsible for the pre-production, production and post-production needs in creation of video, interactive, and static content.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: writing, producing, budgeting, legal clearances, managing and overseeing a variety of simultaneous projects/productions to ensure delivery of high-quality, compelling content. The Producer may collaborate with external production companies and vendors.
Sourcing, discovering, and creating from start to finish compelling stories/image pieces for video for placement in YouTube, and other digital outlets.
Managing and advancing clients and the companies YouTube channel to include working with the social media team to identify and adopt best practices and improvements for making the channel and its content more impactful to targeted audiences.
Video content may range from scripted or semi-scripted to unscripted, from short-form content / series to longer-form episodes.
Monitor industry trends and competitors for best practices to implement.
Work with senior management to develop a strategic plan to achieve and increase traffic / subcribers / Youtube views.
Implement and execute digital video programming initiatives.
Monitors analytics through Site Catalyst and other tools, using the information to adjust story placement/play and maximize page views and audience growth.
This individual should be able to make confident and intelligent decisions that reflect a solid understanding of the business goals and strategies, while also maintaining the integrity and quality of the products for which they are responsible.
Knowledge / Skills required :
Demonstrated experience shooting video as a one-person-band.
Demonstrated experience in crafting natural-sound packages with little or no instruction.
Experience creating, editing and managing videos.
Expert experience in video editing software such as Adobe Premier or Final Cut.
Demonstrated experience managing archives of video b-roll.
Demonstrated ability to write scripts or voice track video.
Moderate experience in creating post-production graphics for video.
Demonstrated experience in digital video content creation and in-depth knowledge of YouTube and video s role/best practices in content strategy.
Experience creating video as part of an organization s or agency s public relations or communications team.
Work as a highly collaborative member of a digital video team.
Self-directed and naturally curious with the commitment to produce results quickly.
Excellent communication skills, both internal and external, in one-on-one settings or with large groups, and with people at all levels of the organization.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of the product, target audience and competitor activities.
Must be available and willing to work extended hours as occasionally needed (during crunch times!) per day or per week, including weekends and holidays, to meet business needs.
