What We’re Looking For:

We need a junior-level full-time Local SEO Google Business Profile (GBP) Specialist! This is a remote (work-from-home) position. We seek a meticulous, strategic and data-driven individual to join our talented team and elevate our company and clients to the next level. Note, this is not an entry-level position.

Responsibilities:

As a local SEO specialist, you will comprehend the nuances of search engine optimisation, mainly related to Google Maps and Google Business Profile. You will collaborate closely with our team to ensure seamless content upload, website optimisation, content strategy, and management.

This remote role primarily focuses on Local SEO and Google Business Profile, otherwise known as Google My Business, off-page SEO and on-page SEO, particularly enhancing visibility on search engines like Google. Your responsibilities will revolve around managing, uploading, optimising, analysing, and implementing strategies daily.

• Keyword Research
• Google Business Profile Management
• Local Citations
• Monitoring Reviews
• Competitor Analysis

Essentially, it will comprise: 60-70%: Updating GBP (Photos, Posts, Q&A’s etc), 20-30%: Citations, On-Page Changes, Off-Page & Competitor Analysis, 10%: Reporting & Comms. Your optimisations and suggestions incorporate marketing in mind and understand SEO principles, conversion, and engagement elements. We will require Google Business Profile management of mostly trade, white-collar, and brick-and-mortar businesses.

You will ensure precision in execution and work closely with our client manager & strategist, as well as other relevant internal teams. Your role will involve bringing your knowledge to the team, addressing inquiries and troubleshooting issues while translating performance metrics to clients and guiding campaign strategies.

Utilising analytical and creative skills, our Local SEO Specialists serve as the backbone of our Search Engine Optimization team. They are pivotal to our organisation's success, and we are eager to welcome more exceptional team members who can contribute to our growth and that of our clients!

Salary:

• Local SEO GBP Specialist starts at $550 USD Per Month

• Day Shift: Willing to work an AU time zone: Mon - Fri AEST Time (8 Hours + 1 Hour Break) - Flexible Start / End Time

The Ideal Candidate:

• Problem-solving: The cardinal sin at our company is asking someone a question you could have solved yourself. We need people willing to “figure it out” and not mind rolling up their sleeves. That doesn’t mean we aren’t here to support you, we are. But only when you encounter a problem that you truly can’t solve. You’re expected to bring more to the table than expected and hurdle problems, not allow them to get in your way.
• Initiative: Motivated by competition and results. You are likely a skilled, pragmatic enforcer whose focus on achievement and success can help those around you accomplish goals. You speak directly and make decisions quickly. You like to explore worthwhile, practical solutions.
• Strategy: Your job is to learn about the client’s business and understand what they sell, who they sell to, etc. Understanding them. Then, alongside the team, guides the client towards strategies that help their campaigns become profitable. If this means they need to change their website, it’s up to you to realise this and recommend it to them. If this means their obsession with getting a low click-through rate or engagement is hurting them because the quality of their website traffic is dropping (and consequently their conversion rates), it’s up to you to educate them on a better metric to base their campaign success on.

Must Have:

• At least 6 months of full-time hands-on experience with Local SEO/SEO.
• Fundamental research skills about the business’s services.
• High attention to detail.
• Keen sense of problem-solving
• Highly analytical and data-driven thinker.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and also work efficiently autonomously.
• Perform keyword research, strategising, implementing, and optimisation for performance-focused SEO campaigns.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets knowledge.
• Holistic solid understanding of Search Engine Marketing and the marketing journey.
• Attitude to self-develop and stay up to date with SEO trends
• Experience with SemRush, Google Analytics, BrightLocal, and other SEO tools.
• Able to adhere to strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong English proficiency: Verbal and written
• Must be able to do Video Chats: Have access to a desktop, webcam, etc.

Good To Have:

• Proven Local SEO track record and expertise to deliver outstanding results.
• Curate performance reports and insights.
• Ongoing tracking towards client’s KPIs.
• Experience with AI & automation.
• Australia Campaign / Brand Experience (Not Required But Advantageous).
