Job Description

Position available with NBCUniversal Media, LLC CIEC (Comcast India Engineering Center) as a Sr Staff Software Engineer (SAP) . Provide state-of-art engineering and architectural support for the SAP Financial, Procurement and Subledger systems maintenance and enhancements including integration to other systems. Lead and mentor other engineering teams and deliver high quality ECC and S/4 HANA clean core solutions through technical development that meet overall business requirements.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Work as Lead development Architect for CIEC (Comcast India Engineering Center) based resources taking accountability for the design, architecture of ABAP related deliverables and quality adherence of the CIEC support team
• Act as a primary point of contact for SAP support development strategy, architecture, and governance of application development and engineering related activities for the CIEC
• Work with product and other engineering teams to provide support of incidents, manage SLA s, raise level 3 incidents with SAP support and handle major incident calls
• Communicate out SLA s adherence and productivity improvements and other metrics in a period fashion.
• Plan for Knowledge Transfer from project teams for future projects going live
• Plan for and manage delivery of minor Enhancement work
• Provide estimation for technical work effort when required and ensure high-quality and on-schedule deliverables.
• Design, develop, and manage complex technical project plans for project and support operations.
• Work closely with Product Teams, Change Management, Testing and other Engineering teams like BASIS and BTP Integration to identify opportunities for improvements of cost savings
• Mentor and train Application development and other engineering team members to perform daily duties.

Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Education focus degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering or related discipline with an information technology focus, or an equivalent combination of education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
• Experience as an Architect/Senior consultant with 8+ years SAP hands-on ABAP development experience including 2+ years of ABAP architecture and design in ECC and S/4 HANA . Knowledge in various SAP modules and Integration development working on large-scale SAP S/4 transformations

ECC Development Experience

• Confirmed ability using BADI s, BAPI s, LSMW, ALE, RFC calls, IDOC, BDC, business objects, classes and methods, Adobe Forms, SmartForms, SAPScripts, Data Dictionary, ALV
• ABAP debugging skills, workflow experience
• Performed performance tuning of ABAP programs
• Worked on troubleshooting and debugging ABAP programs

S/4 HANA Development Experience

• Knowledge of OData services using CDS and AMDP, Workflow experience, including support and debugging
• Knowledge and awareness of SAP Clean Core principles including use of released APIs, in app extensibility options and key user extensibility
• Knowledge of 3-Tier extensibility model and SAP RAP and CAP Programming Models
• Good knowledge on other new SAP technologies such as Fiori SAPUI5, SAP BTP Integration Suite

Other skills

• Confirmed ability to be flexible and agile, both independently and in a team
• Relevant SAP technical certification a plus
• Worked in a Global environment at a Team Lead level and demonstrated growth and achievement.
• Practical Knowledge of Code Performance Rules and Guidelines for SAP HANA
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Possess interpersonal skills to engage and collaborate in a team environment
