Hiring" Manager - Store and logistic " at DIAM Chakan ( MNC )

Role & responsibilities

• Receive, store and issue various types of goods, tools, equipment, raw material, chemicals etc.
• Maintain thorough record of each item, for all the above activities for records, reference and analysis.
• Check and confirm incoming supplies against orders, bills or vouchers.
• Identify, weigh or measure and examine various items to ensure correct supply.
• Liaise with the Purchase, Production and / or Quality Control department for necessary validation before registering a GRN. At the same time, ensure correctness of information on all inward documents before commissioning a GRN.
• Ensure appropriate identification / classification / coding wherever applicable.
• Update the stock register on each inward.
• Exercise physical stock check periodically (as prescribed) to ensure the stock status tallies with the stock register.
• Highlight the slow moving / dead stock from time to time.
• Update and circulate the prescribed MIS daily / weekly / monthly - showing position and condition of stocks.
• Liaise with the Purchase department to make requisition for replacement / replenishment of supplies in consultation with Quality Control & Production department.
• Initiate and participate in trend analysis to optimize the stock level of specific material, thus ensuring low inventory carrying cost.
• Supervise work of subordinates engaging in lifting / carrying / handling of material.
• Ensure strict management to ensure Zero pilferage among all stocking areas.
• Participate & lead the statutory stock audits from time to time.
• Training, motivating, mentoring and providing feedback to subordinates
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures

Preferred candidate profile

• Graduation / Post Graduation in material managemet or equivalent relevant qualification.
• At least 10 to 15 Years of hands-on experience in Leading Store, Inventory, Logistic, dispatch and Warehouse Management.
• Familiar with standard concepts and best practices of Stores management in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and capable of training on any ERP for Inventory Management.
• Excellent Maths & analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Basic understanding of safety and health hazards in Stores management. Capable of learning the dynamics of various articles in the store with respect to Safety hazards.
• Ability to work independently with minimum guidance and self-driven.
