Financial Ensure continuous supply of cane from farmers in line with the cane balance requirements assessed by Cane Head Devise on-ground action plans in line with cane development strategies to facilitate increase in cane area and cane yield per unit area Plan and execute cane area surveys to assess cultivable land area and share the report with the Cane Head Manage the weighbridge operations (passing the weighbridge with a computerized system for data retrieval gross weight, number of plots, the location, the type of cut, the name of the executor slash and cut hours (freshness) Take initiatives to drive growth for DBSIL and ensure sustained growth in line with long-term and short-term objectives of the organization
Customer Sensitize farmers about modern cultivation techniques and varietal composition Deal with the local public representative and district authority officers to ensure that there is continued support from the cane growers and local population Forge fruitful relationships with transportation vendors to ensure smooth issue resolution and to ensure zero lag in delivery time
Operations Monitor the performance of contracted transportation vendors transporting cane from cane purchase centers to the factory Ensure proper monitoring of incidence of disease/pests in crop from time to time, and ensure guidance to farmers on the same Facilitate provision of easy access to pesticides, insecticides and other farming equipment to farmers for sugarcane farming Ensure supply of fresh and mature cane to factory for quality production of sugar Ensure adherence to Government policies in accordance with cane bonding policy issues by Cane Commissioner Ensure initiation and sensitization of the employees towards digitization and automation of the processes Focus on utilization of advanced business analytics tools to derive key insights critical for the success of the organization
Self/ Team Development Review and monitor performance of team members and provide requisite developmental support/ inputs Recommend training as required for team s development Develop the team and update their knowledge base to cater the organization need Strategize avenues for enhancing employee satisfaction in the function, resulting in high engagement levels of employees
