Python Automation Tester

Job Description:-

We are seeking a motivated Python Tester with 0-2 years of experience to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our Python-based applications by developing and executing comprehensive testing strategies. As part of a collaborative environment, you will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain automated and manual test cases for Python-based applications.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing to validate application functionality and performance.
• Identify, report, and track bugs, ensuring timely resolution in collaboration with the development team.
• Collaborate with developers to create and maintain test plans, scenarios, and test data.
• Conduct API testing using tools like Postman to ensure reliability and performance of RESTful web services.
• Develop automated test scripts using tools like Selenium and frameworks such as Pytest or Unittest.
• Perform performance and load testing using tools like Locust or JMeter.
• Write and maintain clear and concise test documentation, including test scripts, results, and reports.
• Ensure compliance with security, performance, and scalability best practices during testing.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies, and tools.

Skills and Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in software testing, preferably for Python-based applications.
• Basic knowledge of Python programming for scripting and debugging.
• Experience with testing tools such as Selenium, Pytest, Unittest, Postman, Locust, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with bug tracking tools like Jira, Bugzilla, or similar.
• Understanding of API testing and familiarity with tools such as Swagger or Postman.
• Basic knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Good understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing lifecycle (STLC).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins.
• Basic knowledge of database testing and ability to write simple SQL queries.
• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

Education

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Relevant certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CP-SAT) or equivalent work experience will also be considered.
