We want to build India's largest and most-trusted Dental Care Brand. Our Investors & Mentors:
We secured an additional $6 million from Alphawave, Chiratae Ventures, and Peak XV's Surge to expand its clinic network, with a key focus on Bengaluru and Hyderabad. Earlier we raised a $23 Mn Series A round led by Alpha Wave Global, LP (Falcon Edge) with strong participation from our existing partners at Peak XV (Formerly Sequoia Capital) & Chiratae Ventures (Formerly IDG Ventures India) which will help us build faster, better and stronger. Other investors in the round include MBX Capital (US-based healthtech focussed fund), Wami Capital - Single Family Office We raised a seed round of $1 Mn co-led by Sequoia Capital & Chiratae Ventures in late 2020. Following angel investors also participated in the round - Peyush Bansal, Amit Chaudhary, Aakrit Vaish, Miten Sampat, Revant Bhate, Sambhav Rakyan
Position Overview (Director - Operations)
The Operations Leader will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing end-to-end operational functions to ensure efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. This role requires strategic leadership, process optimization skills, and a hands-on approach to managing multiple facets of operations. The role also entails leading and working with various teams to ensure timely and superlative experience to all Dezy consumers
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute operations plan & strategies aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.
- Provide visionary leadership and mentorship to the operations team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
2. Process Optimization:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement Six Sigma principles to create & continuously improve high-visibility & high-efficiency processes
- Drive efficiency gains and cost reductions through the implementation of best practices and innovative solutions.
3. Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, city operations, and supply chain operations, manufacturing unit etc..
- Collaborate effectively with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
5. Quality Assurance:
- Establish and maintain robust quality control measures to ensure services meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and improve operational performance.
6. Continuous Improvement:
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement by leveraging Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Required/Relevant Skills & Experience
A person who is relentless in the pursuit of excellence in every decision, every day. The person who always looks for opportunities that deliver the most optimal way to deliver business & customer experience objectives within the constraints (budgets, time and people).
The person should be able to work with a long-term prioritization and roadmap and work backwards by breaking down the deliverables into projects, epics, stories and tasks.
The incumbent should have delivered good performance against similar challenges in the past. The individual should be comfortable working in the less structured environment and champion the processes and structure in their respective domain
We are looking for a seasoned operations individual with relevant product experience of 6 to 8 years in a fast paced working environment with demonstrated first principle thought process
Relevant Qualifications (Enabler but not mandatory)
- Bachelor's degree in engineering; advanced degree in operations preferred from IITs, IIMs, NITIE, SIBM or other B schools
- Six Sigma certification or equivalent in process improvement methodologies.
- 6-10 years of proven experience in operations leadership roles, with a focus on creating tight processes.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions
- Proven track record of leading and inspiring cross-functional teams.
- Experience with ERP systems and other relevant technology
