Facets Developer

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Facets Developer to join our development team. As a Facets Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining solutions within the Facets platform, a leading healthcare management software system. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in Facets development, experience working in the healthcare industry, and a passion for problem-solving in a complex, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facets System Development:

  • Design, develop, and implement customized solutions on the Facets platform to support business operations.
  • Build, modify, and maintain batch processes, interfaces, and workflows within the Facets environment.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into technical solutions using Facets tools and technology.

• Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the Facets system to ensure the stability and performance of critical business functions.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions to recurring issues or system inefficiencies.

• System Integration:

  • Integrate Facets with other enterprise applications and data systems to ensure seamless data flow across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain interfaces for exchanging data between Facets and third-party systems (e.g., EDI, claims processing systems, external databases).

• Customization and Configuration:

  • Customize and configure the Facets system to meet specific business requirements, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
  • Implement changes to the user interface, reports, and backend logic to enhance system functionality and user experience.

• Documentation and Reporting:

  • Document technical designs, processes, and troubleshooting steps to create clear and comprehensive records for internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Generate reports and dashboards to support business decision-making and ensure accurate data is available for analysis.

• Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams:

  • Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and other technical teams to gather and understand requirements and deliver solutions in a timely manner.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers and business stakeholders during project planning and execution.

• Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay current with the latest updates and best practices in the Facets platform and related technologies.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to the existing systems and processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and meet changing business needs.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in Facets development and support within a healthcare environment.
  • Proven experience with Facets modules such as Claims, Member, Provider, and Billing is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with the healthcare industry, specifically health insurance or managed care.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong experience in programming languages such as SQL, PL/SQL, Java, or C#.
  • Expertise in Facets tools like Facets 4GL, Facets Reporting, and Facets Workflow.
  • Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data integration between systems.
  • Proficiency in system integration and development using web services, APIs, and other integration methods.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality, reliable solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification or formal training in Facets development or healthcare-related systems.
• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
• Experience working with HIPAA compliance and other healthcare regulations.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) or modern DevOps practices.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in an office or remote environment.
• Occasional travel may be required for team meetings or client engagements.
