Senior C++ Developer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Software Developer to drive the development of cutting-edge applications within our Risk Management team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in C++, Linux and SQL for database management. You will take ownership of the complete software development lifecycle, contribute to architectural decisions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor junior developers to ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of high-performance C++ applications for risk analytics and management.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain risk models and algorithms to assess credit, market, and operational risk in real-time.
• Ensure the scalability, performance, and reliability of risk-related systems under high-load conditions.
• Collaborate with risk analysts and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and transform them into robust software solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical leadership and best practices in C++ programming, risk modelling, and software architecture.
• Work with large, complex financial datasets to implement and optimize risk measurement tools (e.g., Value at Risk, stress testing, credit scoring models).
• Design and implement real-time risk monitoring systems to detect, analyze, and mitigate risk exposure.
• Conduct thorough code reviews, performance analysis, and troubleshooting to maintain high-quality and efficient software.
• Integrate with other internal and external financial systems, databases, and APIs for seamless data flow and analysis.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks, risk management standards, and internal policies during software development.
• Stay current with industry trends in risk management technologies and financial regulations, ensuring that systems are updated to meet evolving requirements.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
• 5 to 8 years of proven experience in C++ development (including object-oriented programming, multi-threading, memory management, and performance optimization).
• Strong experience in developing high-performance, low-latency systems in financial or risk management domains.
• In-depth understanding of financial risk concepts, such as Value at Risk (VaR), credit risk, market risk, and operational risk.
• Proficiency in risk analysis algorithms and their implementation in C++.
• Extensive experience with complex data structures, algorithms, and optimizing them for large-scale financial data.
• Familiarity with financial products, pricing models, and financial instruments (stocks, bonds, derivatives, etc.).
• Experience in integrating financial systems and databases (SQL, NoSQL) for real-time data analytics.
• Strong debugging, profiling, and performance optimization skills.
• Knowledge of Agile development practices and version control systems (Git).
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams (risk managers, quantitative analysts, etc.).
• Experience in mentoring junior developers and providing technical leadership.
