Engineer/Senior Engineer

You will be joining the Group Architecture team as an Engineer in the ERI (Executable Reference Implementation) team. This function is responsible for

• Creating ERI containing an orchestration manual,
• Terraform IaC templates, clone-able application repositories with CI/CD workflows required to setup an application using the GCP products & features.
• ERI team is also responsible to implement, maintain and deliver Executable Objects to be consumed by different teams. As an Engineer you will design, develop and maintain the Executable reference implementation and Executable Objects
• Collaboration with key stakeholders within Group Architecture and other Line Functions.

Your key responsibilities

• Understand and help deliver the product roadmap as an Engineer.
• Contribute to the creation, design and delivery Executable Reference Implementation using GCP products and services.
• Implement, maintain and deliver solutions ad OREOs which are ready to be consumed by different teams.
• Understand and contribute to DB-wide best practices through bringing back lessons learned and apply them in engineering activities within the group.
• Creating a strong network of contacts with associated technology teams from development, infrastructure and production to collaborate on evolving the concepts, approach and software solutions in this space

Your skills and experience

• Good understanding and experience in developing applications in Java and deployment under GCP.
• Good knowledge of SDLC processes.
• Knowledge and experience of Event-driven architectures, Service orientation and containerization concepts, enterprise technology and cloud platforms, and software development best practices.
• Ability to self-manage a book of work and ensure clear transparency on progress with clear, timely, communication of issues.
• Knowledge of the banking domain and associated end-to-end workflow and processes.
