Dy Manager/Manager- Design Engineering- Aerospace & Missile

Role & responsibilities

• 3D modelling of parts and assembly in Solid Works.
• Converting 3d models into 2d manufacturing drawings.
• Preparation of Material Purchase Specifications based on clients specification & applicable codes.
• Carrying out Design activities for ASME U & U2 certification.
• Detail Engineering based on customers specification, drawings, and applicable codes for Nuclear Equipment/ Pressure Vessels & Heat exchangers.
• Review of manufacturing drgs. with consideration to welding details, heat treatment details, geometrical tolerances, machining feasibility, NDT etc.
• Structural calculations and obtaining design report approval from customer
• Interaction with cross functions like welding development, Quality control, Production
• Submission of proposals to client regarding equivalent material, acceptance of deviations at manufacturing stage.
• Attending customer design/ project review meeting & represent WIL.
• Interaction with client for approval of manufacturing drawings, material purchase specification, proposals etc.
• Estimation of raw material.
• Optimization of raw material.
• Providing technical support to Marketing in pre-bid stage.
• SAP activities related to bill of material etc.
• Releasing Engineering output as per schedule.

Guiding the team of Design Engineers & Draftsmen

Preferred candidate profile

• Hands on experience in Solid works, PV Elite & AUTO CAD. (Essential.)
• Hands on experience in ANSYS Workbench. (Preferred.)
• Demonstrated experience in Design & Engineering of heavy Pressure Vessels and heat exchangers required for oil & gas/ Nuclear based on ASME Sec. VIII Div. 1, 2, Sec. III NB,NC.
• Exposure to various IS codes (IS 8000, IS 800, IS 1367 etc.)& TEMA standard
• Exposure to various grades of Carbon, alloy & stainless steel.
