Design Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee the end-to-end design and development of products (Metal & plastic both), from conceptualization to final production
• Ensure designs meet performance, cost, and manufacturability targets
• Create innovative and efficient design solutions that address complex engineering problems
• Utilize advanced design tools and techniques to develop prototypes and validate designs
• Work closely with manufacturing, quality assurance, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of designs
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and senior management.
• Ensure that designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements
• Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy in all design and development activities.
• Drive continuous improvement in design processes and methodologies
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including specifications, schematics, and reports.
• Address and resolve design issues promptly to minimize impact on project deliverables
• Develop cost-effective design solutions that balance performance, quality, and budget constraints

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Deep understanding of design principles and methodologies
• Expert in mechanical calculations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address design challenges
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to present complex ideas clearly to internal stakeholders and senior management
• Experience in developing cost-effective solutions.
• Ability to understand and incorporate customer requirements into design
• Skills in identifying and mitigating design risks
• Advanced skills in CAD tools such as SolidWorks & AutoCAD
• Having a knowledge of FEA analysis
• Must have the knowledge of material properties & selection of material
• Good understanding of DFM & DFA
• Must have the knowledge advance machining processes like VMC,CNC & others
• Knowledge of industrial standards like ASME,ISO
• Good understanding of GD&T symbols

Qualification and Experience:

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering from reputed University
• Should have Experience of at least 5+ years in the area of Design & Development (Aluminum section & Door design related experience will be first preference)
• Local or should be ready to relocate near Factory / Umbergaon / Vapi

Salary would be in line with the experience.
