Senior I&C Design Engineer

Requirement:

• Develop 3D models, layouts, and instrumentation designs using AVEVA E3D, PDMS, and SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI/INtools).
• Design and route instrumentation cable trays, tubing, and junction boxes in E3D/PDMS.
• Prepare and review instrument index, I/O lists, loop diagrams, wiring schematics, and control panel layouts.
• Develop and maintain cause & effect diagrams, control narratives, and alarm management strategies.
• Specify and select pressure, temperature, flow, and level instruments, control valves, and analysers.
• Ensure compliance with ISA, IEC, API, ATEX, NEC500/505, and SIL (IEC 61508/61511) standards.
• Conduct clash detection and model reviews using E3D Review or Navisworks.
• Coordinate with process, electrical, piping, and structural teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Review vendor drawings and specifications for DCS, PLCs, SCADA, and field instrumentation.
• Participate in HAZOP, LOPA, and SIL verification studies.
• Support procurement, installation, commissioning, and loop-checking activities.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers

Required Qualifications & Competencies:

• Bachelor degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Control Systems Engineering.
• 7 - 10 years of experience
• Strong expertise in AVEVA E3D, PDMS, SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI/INtools), and AutoCAD.
• Hands-on experience with DCS, PLCs, SCADA, and SIS programming/configuration.
• Knowledge of hazardous area classification (IECEx, ATEX, NEC500/505).
• Familiarity with process control, safety instrumented systems (SIS), and functional safety assessments.
• Experience working with FEED, EPC, and brownfield modification projects

G ood to have skills:

• Experience with offshore platforms, FPSOs, refineries, and LNG plants.
• Knowledge of fiber optic networks, wireless instrumentation, and cybersecurity standards (ISA 62443).
• Exposure to construction, commissioning, and start-up activities.
