Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities

1. Responsible for the specification compliance of designs for a specific product/project.
2. To work out detailed mechanical design starting with concepts and using Solid works / AutoCAD in 3D modelling, and simulation
3. To follow ISO requirements, coordinate with production and assembly teams.
4. Preparation of spare parts and instruction manuals.

Preferred candidate profile

• 3-4 years of design experience in the medium/heavy mechanical engineering industry.
• Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering or Equivalent or Diploma with relevant work experience
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the design of machines, machine tools.
• In Depth knowledge in Solid works 3D and AutoCAD
• Experience in designing/helping design machines from concept level
• Experience in designing machines that handle paper, board, will be added advantage
• Capability and willingness to assume full responsibility for project tasks.
• Excellent attention to detail and capable of producing error-free drawings.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills`
• Knowledge of engineering design practices and principles (e.g., interference checks, tolerance stack-ups, fits, GD&T)
• Experience working with engineers and fabricators to develop designs and drawings
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and complete work in a timely fashion with minimal supervision
• Experience in the design of equipment for the special application areas like packaging / Printing/ paper converting/ tapes and labels/flexible laminates and/or adjacent industries will be preferred
