Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE/ME).
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD software.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal design and fabrication processes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design Development:
  
• Develop detailed designs for sheet metal components based on project specifications.
• Create 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD tools (SolidWorks and AutoCAD).
• Client Collaboration:
  
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand project requirements and provide regular updates on design progress.
• Material and Process Optimization:
  
• Select suitable materials and ensure design compatibility with manufacturing processes.
• Identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising quality.
• Documentation:
  
• Prepare and manage comprehensive Bills of Materials (BOMs) for engineering projects.
• Initiate and review Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) to resolve design issues, enhance performance, or integrate client feedback.
• Team Collaboration:
  
• Work closely with production teams to ensure manufacturability and design accuracy.
• Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of required materials.
• Continuous Improvement:
  
• Conduct design reviews, address feedback, and implement improvements.
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in mechanical design and manufacturing.
