Deputy Manager/ Manager - Coal Procurement

Purpose

To look after coal logistics in Haldia plant.

Role & responsibilities

• Coal allocation for 100% ACQ from MCL & CCL with least cost on landed basis
• Strategic Coal Sourcing Tie-Up for entire quantity within Targeted Cost,
• Responsible for P-2-P (Procurement-to-Payment) Cycle
• Import Coal Procurement as per Requirement
• Maintaining Inventory Level to ensure continuous plant-availability with in working-capital target
• Ensure GCV Delivery at Top Band of the Mine Grade.
• Coal Advances / Refunds / Working Capital Management
• Governance, Compliances & Audits relating Coal Function.
• Sustainability, Reliability & Occupational Safety Management relating Coal Transport Management
• Coal-Movement Planning & Logistics Execution: End-to-End Scheduling of Coal- Rake & Truck Movement
• Stakeholder Management: Pre & Post Arrival coordination with all relevant stakeholders
• Lead & Organise CMG MIS : Daily, Week|y & Monthly Performance Tracking & Analytics.
• Transportation Bills Processing & Reconciliation, Coordination with CIL/Subsidiaries for Refunds.
• Operational Representations at Coal India / Indian Railway

Key Competencies

• Core knowledge & experience of Coal Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain management & Market Intelligence of Domestic & Imported Coal
• Detailed understanding of Coal & Power Demand-Supply Scenario in India, Regulatory Policies & Guidelines from MoP, MoC, MoM, MOEF&CC, MoC, NGT, MoR & Rly Board, CEA, CERC, CIL/Subsidiaries & other relevant authorities
• Hands on Experience on Road/Rail/Multi-Modal Logistics & Supply Chain Management
• Working Capital, Cash Score & Coal Advance/Refunds management for overall Coal Spend Base
• Environmental (Climate change) and Sustainability Awareness.
