Civil Design - Deputy Manager/Manager/Sr. Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Develop civil designs for solar power projects, including site layouts, grading plans, foundations, access roads, drainage systems, and other related infrastructure.
• Use design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, etc.) to create detailed drawings and plans.
• Perform site assessments and feasibility studies to determine optimal site layouts and configurations.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers, structural engineers, and project managers to ensure integrated and cohesive design solutions.
• Participate in project planning meetings and provide technical input on civil design aspects.
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to specify and procure materials and equipment.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., local building codes, environmental regulations).
• Prepare and submit permit applications and other documentation required for project approval.
• Stay updated on industry standards and best practices to ensure designs are current and compliant.
• Provide technical support during the construction phase, addressing any design- related issues or modifications.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions, verify installations, and ensure design compliance.
• Assist with the commissioning and inspection of civil infrastructure as needed.
• Prepare detailed project documentation, including design reports, technical specifications, and as-built drawings.
• Maintain organized records of all design documents and revisions.
• Participate in training and professional development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Suggest and implement improvements to design processes, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency and quality.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in civil design engineering, preferably in the solar or renewable energy industry.
• Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit) and other engineering tools.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, site development, and infrastructure design.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of project management principles and experience with solar projects is a plus.
