Sr. Manager / DGM - Data Excellence

Experience:

• Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, data architecture, and data quality management

• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with applicable regulations including India DPDP act, EU GDPR etc.

• Expert in Master data management; develop and implement data management strategies and policies

• Analyze Data quality and work closely with respective stakeholders for improvement. Ensure the quality of the core enterprise data is maintained and the mechanisms to regularly measure the quality of data

• Development and execution of a comprehensive data management strategy aligned with business objectives

• Good understanding of Enterprise Data & Analytics strategy and its linkage with the data and data processes existing in organization

• Well versed with identification of data assets across organization

• Very good understanding of Data Strategy and Management; design and implement comprehensive data strategy that includes integration of in-house / external data sources and aligns with the organizational goals

• Should have knowledge in driving initiatives to enhance data analytics capabilities, including predictive analytics, machine learning, and data visualization

• Deep understanding of data management principles, practices, and technologies

• Proven leadership experience in developing and executing data strategies in complex organizations

• Should have experience in collaborating with executive leadership (CEO, COO, CFO, etc.) to ensure data strategies are aligned with business goals

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and drive change • Strong business acumen and the ability to align data initiatives with business goals

• Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as GDPR, CCPA, and other data protection laws

• Must have experience from Manufacturing Industry

• Must have very good Documentation, Project Management and interpersonal skills

• Should be certified data excellence / data management assessor with experience of minimum 5-6 data assessments

Responsibilities

• Prepare roadmap for data management

• Manage and oversee data collection, storage, and analyze activities across organization

• Define and maintain the companys data architecture, including data models, data flows, and data integration processes

• Provide strategic guidance on emerging technologies and trends in data management and analytics

• Collaborate with business units to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business growth and innovation

• Drive initiatives to enhance data analytics capabilities, including predictive analytics, machine learning, and data visualization

• Enhance the organizations data visualization capabilities, ensuring that key performance indicators (KPIs) and insights are easily accessible for decision-makers across the business

• Develop a scalable and robust data architecture to facilitate data integration, storage, and access. This includes creating data models, selecting technologies, and designing the flow of data across different systems to meet short- and long-term business needs

• Assess the current organizational data maturity and define the roadmap to identify and implement data catalog, data cleansing, data management and data analytics tools

• Establish and enforce data governance, security standards, policies, and procedures to ensure data quality, privacy, and compliance in coordination with IT Infrastructure and Security team to ensure all data elements across the organization are protected

• Designate data owners and stewards for different departments to ensure that data is managed properly, with clear accountability for data quality, access, and usage

• Ensure that sufficient data is made available in a timely manner at required granularity across your organization for taking decisions; ensure Data & Analytics infrastructure is available to help in data driven decision making without manual interventions

• Maintain high availability of critical data with the help of the IT Infrastructure team

• Help to bring automation and configurability across the Data & Analytics technology landscape • Build and nurture relationships with business to ensure alignment of data priorities and business objectives

• Coordinate with respective stakeholders to integrate external data sources (e.g., third-party data, IoT, etc.) into the organizations workflows for better risk modeling and insights

• Develop and execute a comprehensive data management strategy aligned with business objectives.

• Define and maintain the company’s data architecture, including data models, data flows, and data integration processes.

• Stay updated with advancements in data management and analytics

• Implement predictive analytics and AI / ML models to improve data segmentation

• Lead and develop a team of data professionals to support the company’s data initiatives

• Lead efforts to improve data quality, consistency, and reliability across systems and applications • Provide strategic guidance on emerging technologies and trends in data management and analytics

• Build data champion team in CFT’s across organization

• Lead and develop a team of data professionals to support the company’s data initiatives

• Periodic reporting to leadership team which should include progress reports, dashboards & frameworks

• Handle multiple audit related to data management • Identify various tools and technologies for data management Skills

• Minimum 4-5 years of experience in data management, analytics, or related field, Proven experience in leadership role. Experience in building and managing multiple cross location teams

• Overall minimum 15 years’ experience in IT data, application & compliance management

• Experience in driving continuous improvement in project deliveries and individual / team performance

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science. A master’s degree is preferred

• Strong familiarity or hands-on experience with modern data technologies, including but not limited to data modeling and databases (e.g., SQL, NoSQL), Cloud-based data / Storage platforms, Big data solutions, Data integration, Data governance and Business Intelligence & analytics/ visualization tools

• Professional certification in data management (e.g., Certified Data Management Professional - CDMP) preferred
