Java - Backend Developer

Sr Consultant: 5+ years of experience

Job Description

• Strong system design experience with DS/Algo
• Streaming Platform - Proficient in Apache Flink (Must Have), Apache Pinot, Kafka
• Programming language - Latest version of Java and working experience of RESTful APIs, Spring boot, Virtual threading
• Database - Postgres DB/Apache Pinot/QuestDB/Timeseries DB. Strong knowledge in Indexing, Portioning, Performance Optimization etc.
• Additional Skills -Drools rule engine, working experience on low latency and high throughput applications, Experience on Risk and Fraud monitoring applications, BFSI domain, Agile methodology, Debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Proficiency in building applications using different styles - fat client, web based, mobile.
• Experience with application modernization including cloud native, event driven and serverless architectures.
• Good hands-on development experience in Java, Advanced Java, Spring, Hibernate, Reactive and functional programming.
• Good hands-on experience in Docker, Kubernetes, Service Mesh like Istio
• Good hands-on experience in developing cloud native applications using Microservices architecture.
• Strong cloud experience preferably in GCP, Anthos/GKE or similar platforms like AWS - EKS or Azure - AKS
• Deep understanding of different microservices architecture patterns e.g., distributed transaction management, distributed tracing
• Exposure to classic distributed-system problems and solution patterns (2 phase commit, outbox, saga, CDC, message delivery semantics and guarantees, idempotency)
• Hands on experience of Kafka or any other message brokers
• Knowledge of Quarkus , Apache Spark is a big plus
• Has worked in complex environment liaising with architects and technology leads
• Experience with DevOps and Agile engineering practices
• Domain driven design, decoupling and migrating strategies, distributed application patterns.
• Good understanding of different Non-Functional requirements e.g., Security, Performance, Scalability, Availability etc.
• Development experience in CI/CD DevSecOps environment
• Exposure to Integration, APIs, API Management software
• Experience in cloud computing technologies and excellent knowledge of current computing trends
• Designing and Deploying Cloud IaaS and PaaS solutions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills
