Job: Sr Engineer -Purchasing & Sourcing

Responsible for strategically working across our business to ensure a strong and sustainable supply chain, ensure appropriate operational control, and deliver financial gains through cost-down activities.

Main Accountabilities:

Create and deliver sourcing and purchasing strategy for DM & IDM

Manage risk assessments, audits, and Supplier Evaluation

Efficiently the Purchase and Sourcing OF DM & IDMin the unit.

Analyzing spending and capitalizing opportunities for economies of scale and cost-down projects.

Aligning operational sourcing and purchasing activities and working with site-based Purchasers and Plant Manager/Operations Manager to ensure operational purchasing activities are fit for purpose and support the purchasing strategy

Negotiations with suppliers and producers in terms of cooperation terms and prices of fixed and variable products of DM &IDM, payment terms

Submission and supervision of complaints in case of detection of factory defects of purchased raw materials and goods

Supervising the timeliness of orders.

Adhere to QHSE and other company policies and procedures.

Building and implementing a purchasing strategy according to the adopted assumptions and considering group guidelines (à global material group strategies).

Ensuring the supply of raw materials and products necessary to maintain the continuity of the production cycle

Determining and controlling the inventory turnover ratios adopted for individual raw materials, finished products and commercial goods

Optimal selection of suppliers: searching and creating databases of potential suppliers, obtaining offers and their valuation

Market analysis of producers and distributors based on market data and assortment analysis (product, price, quality, logistics.

Cooperation with all departments of the company/group in order to identify production needs

Analyzing the domestic and international supply market in order to find alternative sources of supply

Assessment of suppliers and control of the development of cooperation with suppliers acc. to DB standards

Organizing deliveries, inventory control, ongoing cooperation and managing suppliers - supply chain management

Skills

Knowledge of the wind/polymer / Rubber industry will be added advantage / Previous manufacturing experience.

Experience: 3-5 years + in similar roles

Previous experience in international purchasing at a strategic level and handling international customers

Strong collaboration and communication skills

Technical /engineering qualifications/background and/or the ability to read technical drawing.

B.Tech/BE Mechanical Engineering or BE com
