Opening For Behavioral Counselor at DPSGM

Role & responsibilities

• One-to-one counselling to school students to overcome behavioral, emotional and academic problems. To develop confidential relationships with students to help them resolve or cope with their developmental concerns.
• Group counseling sessions to improve the students time management and organizational skills, establish academic and personal goals and resolve interpersonal problems among the students.
• Connect with the teachers and parents to develop strategies for assisting a student with learning difficulties, mental health issues or severe behavioral issues.
• Maintaining a referral system for students with significant difficulties receiving professional help from external agencies.
• Assess students skills to determine their needs and to develop individualized education plans and providing other relevant and necessary guidance in liaison with the special educator.
• To organize various awareness and advocacy seminars and camps for the parents and other community members from time to time.
• To get CBSE facilities and exemptions for students with special needs who are appearing for board exams.
• Collaboration with CCUP Central Office.
