Assistant Manager - IT (Navision)

Manage and operate LS Retail and NAV application and infrastructure. Ensure smooth running of retail operation, financials, warehouse and other process as per design and compliance. Participate in new solutions development, co-ordinate with end users, vendors and stakeholders for delivery. Ensure uptime and availability for all application & database instances. Create, operate and manage BCP and Disaster recovery plan for critical infrastructure and applications.

Role & responsibilities

• LS Retail & NAV 2016 and POS expertise and knowledge to assist in the identification of techno functional delivery of Retail and other business functions
• Translate solution components into functional requirements, tasks, activities, and conditions of satisfaction as per business requirement
• Assist with the demonstration of LS Retail 20016 and POS features, functionality, and system capabilities
• Perform analysis as well as assist with the development of additional LS Retail functions and features
• Collaborate with team in the execution of implementation tasks and activities
• Performing design, analysis, and implementation work around Retail and POS solutions and systems targeted at the Retail and Other business functions
• Previous operational experience working in a Retail environment in a technology with consulting capacity
• Understanding Programming ability in CAL Programming Language, Excellent understanding of the internal data flow in LS Retail and NAV
• Performing design, analysis, and implementation of SQL Database Administrations and related activities
• Designing the Promotions and Master Data Managements
• Managing the Job schedulers and ensuring the replications to be completed
• Technical Support the Business 24x7 without any exceptions
• Ensuring smooth operations of Retail and other related business functions
• Enhancements in LS Retail 2016, interact with business users in understanding their requirements and provide technical support.
• Stimulate Retail and POS related requirements from stakeholders
• Ensure all POS sales schedule in Navision from ePOS tills are properly processed and audited in the NAV & LS Retail 2016
• Ensuring the Integrations with all third-party application with NAV & LS Retail 2016
• Maintaining Services Tickets number with serveice
• Maintaining the call logs in IT support system and Change Management System
• Ensuring the tests case for all additional, ensuring the Health of LS and Navision along with object symmetry
• Prepare and develop high-level solutions to meet business requirements
• Assist in defining, auditing and maintaining organization data security policies, procedures
• Operate and manage tools and software like Antivirus, DLP, end user back up system, Encryption software, monitoring tools
• Troubleshoot LAN/WAN performance, connectivity, and related network problems and quickly diagnose and solve difficult technical problems as they occur
• Install, maintain, and monitor system hardware and software; perform preventive maintenance to network, including wiring network outlets and switches, installing routers, and connecting workstations
• Maintaining system performance by providing system monitoring and analysis and performance tuning; troubleshooting system hardware, software and networks and operations systems management
• Maintain, optimize, and monitor VPN and remote access systems
• Provide support for other IT Department staff and assist with management of IT Department projects
• Coordinate with all responsible users and sites to resolve network or system incidents

Experience

• 6 - 8 Years of experience in system administration in a large enterprise environment

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
• Technical skills that include LAN/WAN administration, data and system security, Firewall/router configuration, and desktop support
• Hands-on knowledge of MS Windows server edition (multiple OS Version), Cisco routers, VMWare ESXi , Power Shell programming, AD, DNS, DHCP
• Working knowledge of office 365 apps
• Hands-on knowledge of Antivirus, DLP, Encryption software
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to work under pressure with senior leadership
• Ability to manage time and meet deadlines
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and organize large amounts of information
• Ability to maintain accurate records and necessary documentation for policies, SOP, templates, reports, etc
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to work courteously and effectively communicate with diverse group of employees, co-workers, clients, support partners
• Strong Messaging support and engineering skills on TCP/IP, DNS, NLB, DHCP, DFS, AD troubleshooting
• Knowledge of VERITAS, VMware, Citrix, IIS, MS SQL.
• MCSE & VMWARE ESX certification desired
